Where Is Cindy Lou Who Now? Taylor Momsen Is All Grown Up

Which adaptation of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas is better: the original 1966 animated short or the 2000 live-action version starring Jim Carrey as the Grinch and Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who? It can be a controversial topic among family members during the holiday season. But regardless of your taste in Christmas movies, there's no denying the 2000 adaptation gives more depth to Dr. Seuss's characters, especially Cindy Lou Who who (say that three times fast) has a larger role in that version's plot. That said, you may be wondering: Whatever happened to the little girl who stole the show from Carrey's Grinch?

Momsen, who is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, was only 7 years old at the time of filming. Now, she is approaching her 30th birthday. While she is best-known for her role as Cindy Lou Who, you may also recognize her as Alexandra Anami from Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams or as Jenny Humphrey in the original Gossip Girl series. But since taking on these starring roles, Momsen has shifted her career goals and left acting behind. Currently, she is the lead singer of the rock band The Pretty Reckless. So it's safe to say that her Cindy Lou Who era is behind her!
