Ulster County Board of Elections launches ‘I Voted’ sticker contest that went viral last year

KINGSTON, N.Y. — After going viral last year, the Ulster County Board of Elections is again inviting residents between the ages of 13-18 to help design an “I Voted” sticker that will be distributed to each polling location for the Ulster County general election.

Art submissions for the contest, now in its third year, will be accepted from April 1 through June 1. The Ulster County Board of Elections Commissioners will select the top designs. Over the summer, residents will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite design. The winners will be announced on Sept. 8. The sticker will be distributed to voters on Election Day on Nov. 7.

Last year’s contest drew national attention when 14-year-old Hudson Rowan of Marbletown submitted an “I Voted” design that depicted a whimsical spider-themed design.
