Every December, without fail, I become the #1 enemy of the state. No matter how many times we go through the whole shabang, the holiday season divides me and my loved ones into two warring camps: people who love Christmas and people who find it mid. I am of the latter group, obviously. I’ll even go as far to say that I actually loathe Christmas and the period after Thanksgiving-December 25th is my own personal ninth level of hell. In fact, when William Shakespeare wrote, “Hell is empty and all the devils are here,” I’m sure he was referring to “Big Christmas.”
