Napoleon Dynamite Star Pitches 'Dark' Real-Time Sequel

Jon Heder, star of the 2004 independent comedy, Napoleon Dynamite, recently shared his thoughts on what a sequel to the cult classic might look like nearly twenty years after its release.

According to Comicbook.com, while speaking at a convention in Pittsburgh, Heder was asked about the possibility of a sequel to his breakout film. "I don't think the book of Napoleon is closed forever," the actor responded. "I honestly think there's gonna be something, whether it's a sequel, or a TV show, or another animated [show]… now that Fox properties are owned by Disney, we know how Disney feels about cashing in on everything that's ever been made, so you never know." Heder went on to share some details of his vision for a Napoleon sequel, "In my personal opinion, if there was a Napoleon sequel, it would have to be real time. We wouldn't do, 'It's senior year, and it's a bunch of 40-year-olds pretending they're still in high school.'" He also issued a caveat to the crowd, "prepare yourselves, it's gonna be dark."
