A man was arrested Friday after police caught him riding his bike drunk on Sanibel Island.
Sanibel police said they initially stopped 56-year-old Richard Ballard after he was riding on Periwinkle Way with no front or backlight.
When police pulled him over, they noticed he could be intoxicated. Ballard agreed to a breathalyzer test, and his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
