Madden stars all over as South Shore football defeats Holbrook/Avon on Thanksgiving Eve

HANOVER – South Shore Tech’s Jared Madden was wearing a hoodie that read, ‘I’m him,’ for Wednesday’s Thanksgiving Eve football game against Holbrook/Avon.

For our older readership, that’s new-school lingo for ‘I’m the man.’

That he was, as the senior led the Vikings (8-4) to a 40-8 win over Holbrook/Avon, throwing two touchdown passes, running for a 47-yard score and even returning a punt 36 yards for a special-teams touchdown.

“He was right,” said South Shore junior Clifford Munroe, who hauled in both of Madden’s TD throws. “But, yeah, he’s great.”
