Kris Letang Reacts to Penguins' Ceremony for 1,000th Game

PITTSBURGH - It wasn’t an easy road, but Kris Letang finally became the third player to ever play 1,000 games completely with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Not only did the Penguins honor one of their leaders, but they didn’t miss a single detail during the ceremony and all of the video messages that followed.

During the ceremony there was not only a presentation of gifts, but Kris’ son, Alex, was a main feature.Alex got to read the Penguins’ starting lineup that was heard throughout PPG Paints Arena, he took the ice with Krist and the team, then got to stand next to his Kris during the National Anthem.

“Pretty emotional,” Letang said. “Having my son on the ice with me made it perfect.”
