On Thursday night, No. 6 South Carolina will host No. 3 Florida for the first game of the teams' SEC series at Founders Park. The Gamecocks come into Thursday's game with an overall record of 31-6 and a conference record of 10-4. The team's most recent game resulted in a 10-4 victory over Charleston Southern in a mid-week matchup on Tuesday. Cole Messina had three hits on the day, while Dylan Brewer and Braylen Wimmer scored three runs apiece. Gavin Casas drove in four and Talmadge LeCroy had two RBIs. With the game tied in the sixth, Brewer hit his sixth home run of the season to take the lead and Casas gave the team breathing room in the seventh with his 16th home run of the season.
