The rapper's oldest son Corde Broadus, 25, said his third child Kai Love had "inspired those whose light is dim".
Kai Love died on September 25, in his dad's arms, Corde revealed last week.
Days later, Corde said his wife Soraya Love is "at peace and moving forward with huge smiles".
He thanked his friends and fans for their well wishes, but urged them to see a different side to the tragedy.
Corde said on Instagram: "Thank you for all the condolences. I think we missed the biggest lesson tho.
"My son did all he needed to do in his 10 days here on earth. He has now graduated and continuing to do work. He died in my arms and that feeling of energy will never leave me.
"Kai wants all of you to kno he’s doing great and wants to continue to inspire those who light is dim.
