Harry Souttar has revealed that his mum banned him from swapping shirts with Argentina hero Lionel Messi following his heroic World Cup run with Australia.

The Aberdeen-born defender, who switched allegiances from Scotland to Australia, was a standout for the Socceroos in Qatar as the Aussies reached the last 16, writes the Daily Record.
