Eating disorders, CPR, dangers of drugs among topics at Airport High School health fair

CARLETON – Health and wellness activities were offered Wednesday during a health fair at Airport High School.

“We had a CPR dummy, marijuana goggles for field sobriety tests and over 15 different health-related topics to share,” Teresa Millican, Airport marketing teacher and DECA adviser, said.

The event was sponsored by DECA through Millican’s marketing classes. The school also held a Mental Health Expo last year.

Taking part were members of the Monroe Community Mental Health Authority, Michigan State Police Trooper Don Stewart, the high school counseling department and the high school marketing classes. More than 400 students participated.
