Brian's Breakdown: How NC State ignited its transition offense vs. UNC

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State has added another visitor for this upcoming weekend with former Kansas guard MJ Rice making a return trip to Raleigh this Saturday. This will be Rice's fourth time back to NC State campus for a visit, but his first since high school and his initial visit since entering the transfer portal, a source tells Pack Pride. Jason Jordan was the first to report.

Rice played just one year at Kansas in a limited role, averaging 2.2 points and 1.0 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per game. The former McDonald's All-American started off the year with two games in double figures scoring during non-conference play against Texas Southern (19) and North Dakota State (10), but never saw more than 15 minutes on the court in any other contest.

Rice also dealt with back spasms throughout December and January that cost him several games and reduced his role in the rotation once he returned.
