Astros turned Philadelphia hotel into Halloween party for their kids during World Series

PHILADELPHIA — If you’re a kid and your dad plays for the Astros, you may not always get the usual Halloween experience. For the second straight year, the Astros were scheduled to play a World Series game on the road on Halloween. To make up for it, the Astros once again turned their hotel hallway into a little trick-or-treating lane for the players’ children.

As they did in Atlanta last year before Game 5 and as they did in Los Angeles in 2017 before Game 6, the Astros tried to make Halloween as normal as possible for their families.

The kids dressed up in costume and went knocking on doors of other players in the team hotel and got candy.

Instagram was filled with photos of Astros players and their families. Justin Verlander and Kate Upton’s daughter Genevieve, who turns 4 years old next week, dressed as Rapunzel. Lance McCullers’ daughter Ava went as Disney princess Jasmine with his wife Kara posting on her Instagram story, “Halloween at a hotel again.”
